and just why are you carrying around a PC corpse? I don't think it's very IC to be hauling a body over your shoulder as you go forth and adventer. (to drag it outside an inn or a city sure, but not as a permenent thing)

If you have auto gold toggled on and you are carrying the corpse of a PC (who knows, there may be other varients of this thing), and you kill a NPC, you will loot the gold out of the PC's body and not the thing you just killed. It is rather odd. The code is looking to grab the cash out of the first body (ie the one you're holding) rather than the thing that just died. |

I've also seen this happen if a PC corpse is laying on the ground as the first corpse in the room. |

It essentially does get all cor;split X where X is the value of the coins just taken. The problem lies where the corpse in your inventory is the one that it takes from, not the recent corpse on the floor. Just don't carry around corpses and you are fine. Or if you want to be a corpse collector, then turn off auto gold for the time being. |

Player dies and leaves an agroed NPC. You go to collect corpse and kill agroed NPC and return corpse to player when they retain life. You are not hauling corpses all over the place. Anyone reading that into this thread needs reading lessons. |
