I know necro's and sorcs are both able to buy a pet, and then also use their charms, so why can't warlocks? Is this by design for balance or a bug? Quote: buy pet You already own a pet. {HP:100%} {ME: 60%} {PE:100%} Coin: 1 obsidian >eject fire You eject a fire elemental from the group. {HP:100%} {ME: 60%} {PE:100%} Coin: 1 obsidian >buy pet You already own a pet. I can't summon another elemental under I free the pet either. EDIT: For good measure... Quote: >c conjure fire
You start to concentrate. {HP:100%} {ME: 76%} {PE:100%} Coin: zero > You utter the words, 'qaiyjcandus zrzwunsohar'. You already have a pet. |

It's not a bug. You used to be able to have store bought pets and elementals however, now those were the days. *sigh* |

Excellent question, really, if a necro can have 20+ undead and a Sorc can have a pet and a charmie, why can't a Warlock have a pet and his elemental? *peers at D expectantly* |

I'd be happy if it was just one certain pet that is more for utility than anything... Puh-lease? |

It was changed for good reason, so there's really no point in debating it. Besides if you want your shrink/enlarge pet just wait till your elemental leaves. It's not that huge of a deal. |

What was that good reason, again? |

Two pets made warlocks too strong. |

The problem is now I have to fly around with weak defense. I don't see how a warlock who is always 3rd row would really be that much of a buff. You still got backstab, in fact I would more likely that not put the pet 3rd row to prevent the backstab. Besides, any good warlock can always get away when he/she is in second row anyway. |

If a fire elemental is weak defense to you, then you really don't know your class well. And being in 3rd row is a big deal, besides if any good warlock can always get away when he/she is in second row then you don't really need another pet. |
