So I found a particular hellion dominate that is a hellion itself, as a matter of fact its a hellion trainer. Hellfire is one of the things the particular NPC trains. However, with +10 worth in INT mods and sitting, it cant cast hellfire. It can cast cause critical without the int mods so I'm assuming its just had the ability removed, it also cant cast rift which is the same level as cause critical. It can also cleave, which is another skill it trains. If the NPC can train hellfire, then why cant it cast it? If an imm wishes to know the specific NPC, ill be glad to pm them. I'll not say which one it is here for obvious IC info reasons. |

Rift has SICK concentration cost. You will need quite a few int mods, perhaps more than even +10 to get it to cast rift. On the hellfire part though, an idea log would work in the mud. PS: Hellion dominatees suck now that haste changed. EDIT: Don't know what I'm typing. |

Being able to use a skill is not a pre-requisite to training it. Also, if that NPC doesn't have access to the skill you're after, no amount of attribute-affecting equipment or stance changes will add to its skillset. The skill could also be 'unlearned' on the NPC - so it may be in the skillset, but unuseable. |

I think his point is that it makes little sense to have someone that knows enough to teach someone else how to use an ability but not enough to use it himself. |

I think I've found the trainer in question. There was something just slightly amiss with it, and it should now be fixed. |

Now we just need SA/voodoo enabled on shaman charmies And of course, for bard charmies/law NPCs to work properly |

Indeed I would love to see shaman and warlock NPCs working closer to ideal. I know bard NPCs have some interesting behaviours, but I don't know which problems you are speaking of. PM me with the details?? A |

It's a code restriction about ordering NPCs. No bard NPC(charmed, dominated, leadershiped, persuaded) will sing or dance for more than 2 secs. Less than the usual order, I have tried with 18 CHA and it stopped singing before I could order it to dance. I doubt it can be fixed easily(at least that is what I was told in CoN forums over a year ago), and to be honest I don't want to. Talk about some overpowered things(songs of healing/sleep come to find first of all), things more overpowered than persuaded or charmed prayer/chant/defensive harmony etc. |

If a Sorc/Hellion/Bard/Tribunal member can get a NPC to do anything then that NPC should be able to do everything it could before it was charmed. I would love to see a Sorcorer be able to do anything he/she wanted so long as he/she could find the right NPC to charm. Yes that means I'd love a Sorc to be able to charm a shaman NPC and order it to voodoo. |

Eh... I woudl hate to see a charmed/dominated sorc be ordered to sit and cast final strike someplace. Some things shouldnt be allowed. |
