Post subject:  Taunt bugs or features?

Sorry for the length of the logs, I've cut down the first log a bit(useless Who/look/etc), but I left it all for the second bug log.

BUG #1

The classic bug that taunt affect stays there even after the swashie dies until the tick passes. For example look below. Yes, that NPC that taunted me was the one that died but still...
Quote:
You utter the words, 'qarr diesilla'.
Your lightning causes a slight female halfling to jerk and spasm before she falls down dead!
A slight female halfling is DEAD!! <-- Good bye swashie
You hear a slight female halfling's death cry.
I see nothing like that in the corpse.
You junk a corpse of a slight female halfling.
A mithril katana with a finely carved oak hilt falls out.
A mithril wakizashi with a finely carved oak hilt falls out.
A knee-length battle skirt of mithril links falls out.
A tunic of mithril links falls out.
A cowl of mithril links falls out.

And BUG #2
I see a disruption of spell concentration when taunted, even though it shouldn't have happened(since I was keeping only one spell concentrated to avoid that). And after that disruption(that didn't happen at taunt, nor at first hit but after 2 hits) I had enough int to cast the spell again. No tick passed either. And yes, all spells I try to cast are call lightning.

PS: Something irrelevant, about shamans, I've idea logged it(or bug, don't remember) from when I was levelling 4 months ago, make SA priority higher than sanc. As taunt is now, my 20 int shaman with armor/SA/sanc up drops first armor, then SA, then checks if he has enough int to keep sanc. He doesn't, so he drops all(sanc int cost > SA int cost, not by much but still is greater). With SA up if I get taunted(by same swashie - done tests) I won't lose it.

It's not a bug. The game has always dropped the lowest concentration spells first. You're going to lose bless, then armor, then spirit aura and sanctuary, in order of lowest concentration to highest. But I will agree with you, spirit aura's concentration cost should not be higher than sanctuary. It may protect more on the physical end than protection but protection reduces damage from spells AND opening attacks like ambush/cleave/backstab. Spirit aura does not. Spirit aura also does not protect from ranged combat from crossbow bolts and arrows.

There is a bug with taunt that once the swashbuckler has left the room, you cannot follow your leader (quite amusing).

Why cough? Said pet deals practically 0 damage, has half the HP pool from other pets, it's just ghostly.

Don't you believe me? Buy that, then buy a a random wolf pet from a cabal's HQs for example, and do a test.

Did you built it? Then mad props, that's a pet with style. Something SK is not having in big quantities.

Whoever built several other ghostly flame things in that area is nice as well.

Enough with hijacking my own thread though. :P

Bug (?) #3

I once rescued a swasie who had succesfuly taunted a foe. After that the opponent fled . I saw no tick messages between those rounds. Is it a bug, or does rescuing always break taunt or something else that i didn't notice?
Log available...(i think  )

I think the warhorse was Lolth's contribution, yes. It wasn't me.

Some of that stuff was, though. Maybe that's the source of the confusion here.

For Bug # 2, I think the number of attacks against you a round lowers your concentraion. So it didnt lower enough to drop the spell till after the second attack
