Since the last month's reboot, the guards outside Torrum attack me when I ask to be allowed inside. The only time I've attacked the arch-mage was RL years ago. I am pretty sure that is some kind of bug and a very very annoying one when one can't be pardoned there and wishes to keep a long lived character.

Might someone help me with this, please?
Thanks in advance.

This is probably related to the fact that the Torrum was moved into its own area. Probably the script relating to the guards is referring to a wrong number somewhere. You should direct this to Sargas and/or Sadr.

Those who have been banished from the Torrum Arcana are told to leave. Failure to leave two seconds prior to arriving results in Saul attacking. The guards will follow the person until they are dead. While this does keep me in business, I do see it as a bit of an overkill. Consider that the guard is now leaving the area and his post to chase this banished intruder. This should be a no no. The aggressiveness of the guards is a bit much at times.

You pay the crime, you do the time. You get banished from Selhys, or Pathians, or Torrum, you did something to deserve it.

Hate to say it, but QQ more. Even if you did it 3 IRL years ago, you still did it.

Those two NPCs are not that hard to kill, especially if you are a necromancer. And I'm not talking about an army of undead, 1 zombie with 1 store bought pet should be enough to do the trick.

Actually, he doesn't follow you until you die. I got away the first time he attacked me. And some necros just try to kill those two NPCs w/o fod and get banished  .

I take it that you are a [REDACTED], just trying to aggravate me for no reason in particular or either trying to look cool.
Read the post and THINK before you post.

So you attacked a NPC in there RL years ago, and have never had a problem? And now you do? There may have been a broken script which was fixed, because otherwise the mud never would have been keeping track of your NPC kill like that in the first place. If you're still not getting an answer here, check in with the Uxmaln KD in a PM/email. Remember, not all IMMs read the forums regularly.

It is a bit 'buggy' in that it's not really the law system at play here and there is no established system (another quest, for example, which may clear your name at the cost of money/experience) that may counter this. It does seem silly there is no way of redeeming against this, yet in a lawful country you can pardon someone who has done far worse damage to call the dogs off.

Hope this helps.

Delear doesn't know what he is talking about. There is only 1 NPC that you can attack in the Torrum that banishes you. And it isn't the archmage.
