So my group is there to kill the griffons, we lure the NPCs to the northeast and start fighting them. During that fight, Qul'xon and several of his group die, a couple are still fighting us. Code: Senach opens the gates of hell and incinerates an aerobatic male griffon Sophus in a blaze of fire! An aerobatic male griffon Sophus is DEAD!! Scaroth cleaves Qul'xon Talonthrust's chest. Qul'xon Talonthrust falls on his knees and collapses. Qul'xon Talonthrust is DEAD!! Grolok's life drain vitiates a heavy male griffon Sophus, and he falls to the ground! A heavy male griffon Sophus is DEAD!! Darkenion's circle stab does UNSPEAKABLE THINGS to a blue-tinged male griffon Sophus! A blue-tinged male griffon Sophus is DEAD!! A large wave of unholy energy from Grolok kills a skittish female griffon Sophus. A skittish female griffon Sophus is DEAD!! Then an area repop tick happens, and as we fight the things they have summoned and whatever griffons are left... Code: An earth elemental silently awaits a command. A Sophus fire elemental is here, fighting Grolok. A robust female griffon Sophus is here, fighting Grolok. A slender female griffon is here. ...Qul'xon and co. return to attack us again. Code: [HP: 95%] [ME: 87%] [PE:100%] R: The Northeast Corner of a Volcanic Chamber
> A heavy male griffon Sophus soars in from southwest. Qul'xon Talonthrust soars in from southwest. A blue-tinged male griffon Sophus soars in from southwest. An aerobatic male griffon Sophus soars in from southwest. A skittish female griffon Sophus soars in from southwest. [HP: 95%] [ME: 87%] [PE:100%] R: The Northeast Corner of a Volcanic Chamber aka whoever has died returns and attacks us, when the robust and the slender one are still fighting us since they didn't die before the repop tick. So, why would Qul'xon and his group do that? I lured them specifically to avoid a possible repop at their initial position, that would propably own us. Are NPCs supposed to be that smart? Or is there a bugged tracking code or script? Obviously posting the whole log would take several pages, if any immortal wants to see the whole log I can send it to him. |

Apparently, Griffons are smarter than you. |

This happens not only here, but anywhere where NPCs are grouped. The way it sets up the group is that if the group leader is still alive, those respawning will instantly join his group, even if he's moved. I've seen this countless times with the chancel NPCs. You kill two of the imposing guardians, and a regen tick occurs and *poof* they return and are once again grouped with the leader and in your face. How do you avoid this? Take out the group leader first. How can you determine which one it is? That's for you to figure out. And yes, giant talking parrots are indeed smarter than DA. |

I wonder if this is related to the Tlaxcala mage-guards. Often I would summon one, sleep, and when I woke up there were two. In Tlaxcala they seem to always be grouped in twos. |

Dear Fepel, Qul'xon is the leader of their group. He has died before the repop and was one of the NPCs that repoped and came. So I did take out the leader first. I wonder now, if griffons are smarter than me, are they also smarter than you? Seriously now, can someone who knows exactly how the code works explain this? |

I wonder now, if griffons are smarter than me, are they also smarter than you? Seriously now, can someone who knows exactly how the code works explain this? Are you sure? Some think that Rajjin is the leader of his group and are quite mistaken. I have reproduced this at least 100 times with other groups, but I have never killed Qul'xon so I honestly can't tell you which sophus is the leader of his group. Also, if there really was a giant talking parrot that could rip me limb from limb with it's claws... He wins, and I easily say he's smarter than me. |
