It just seems kind of weird. Maybe that mold is scripted to poison you if you eat it with no check to see if you are immune to poison?

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, but are there other ways to get poisoned as a griffon?

Griffon immunities to poison are not perfect after character creation. I wondered this same thing at first, but it will go away as the griffon ages.

Griffons are immune to all poisons and plagues that are equal or less then their level.
