This has happened with two different cities/kingdoms/tribunal NPC types. We enter a rift and:

Quote:
The Cathedral of Menegroth
You are standing upon grand paving stones just south of Empire Avenue
as you gaze upon the Cathedral of Menegroth. The view of the temple is
quite amazing from here. You can see all the finely powdered blue pillars
spiralling up to support the roof. The massive structure to the south
sprawls out in a statuesque fashion, the construction style of the finest
Imperial decor. To the north, the walkway forks, the avenue leads west to
the Cathur-du Square and east towards Maximillian Way. The main focal
point of the room is the statue situated in the center of an elegantly
carved fountain. Surrounded by stone benches to accomadate locals, the
trickling water lends to the Cathedral's regal atmosphere.
It's partly cloudy, hot, and calm.
Obvious exits: n s rift rift
Some dark robes lay folded here.
A polearm with a cruel, midnight-black blade rests here.
( 2) A magical rift is glowing violently in the mid-air.
An elegantly carved stone fountain is here.
The Imperial message board has been mounted here.
An air elemental hovers silently here.
(Charmed) A graceful grey wolf holds you in her piercing gaze.
A graceful grey wolf holds you in her piercing gaze.
Tonez is flying here.
An elite elven champion stands guard here, watching for trouble makers.
An Imperial immune stands at attention before the Cathedral.

[HP: 94%] [ME: 74%] [PE:100%]

An imperial immune exclaims 'Galt, kawareaker!'
An imperial immune exclaims 'You shall pay for ynur crhmes!'
An imperial immune was about to attack you, but your sanctuary stopped him.

[HP: 94%] [ME: 74%] [PE:100%]
Do it yourself!

[HP: 94%] [ME: 74%] [PE:100%]
Ok.

[HP: 94%] [ME: 74%] [PE:100%]

An elite elven champion walks north.

One of the NPCs here left the group and started wandering in the city for some reason. The other followed and responded normally. You could find also the elite in the next room and make him follow you for a minute or so until leaving again. I have the full log if an imm wants to check it.

PS: I just remembered that characters who are following mine stop following for no reason more and more often. When you go back and they type follow xxx you get the: xxx stops following you/xxx follows you now and they start following again. Maybe the two bugs have to do with the same thing?

From what I have seen a long way back when I was in the Peacekeepers, whenever I took a trib NPC with me out of the kingdoms, be it on foot, flying, via gate or rift, he did the same thing every time.

The moment i left the kingdom's area and entered another, he said "My duties require me to leave you now!" and he left, and I could not control him again.

I dont think you're supposed to take trib NPCs out of the kingdom area anyway.

Same thing happened last night. We enter a rift from Ayamao to Menegroth and the law NPC just walks away. Maybe it has to do with the rift spell. Perhaps upon passing through it the NPC does not automatically check the kingdom it gets transfered to.

I have noticed that the elementals don't do that. Also the champions leave the room but not the group. A friend of mine said that maybe there is a bug that has to do with tracking and they leave the room to track, but then the same happened during off peak hours in Reyortsed with 5 people online.

My only guess here is that your law followers are leaving to report you for a crime. I will make sure they can't do that in an enemy kingdom starting today. Other than that, I don't have enough information to say what other bugs might be involved.
