More in general, vials seems to be crumbling a lot faster. I agree that they should, but some vials go after 3-4 days after they were bought and brewed. I think thats a little ridiculous.

I've been told a couple of times that herbs don't have timers on them - but they still crumble without explanation. It's annoying as all hell.

Herbs don't have timers on them to start. But there are whole sub-categories of items, including herbs, that will start to rot once their holder dies. So I am guessing these are herbs you got from a corpse (including your own).

What it sounds like you're saying is that if you don't pick them personally they will rot. And anything in the sub category will also. Meaning that if you kill someone for armors they will rot (which i've been seeing recently) and if someone gives you herbs they picked they will have timers.

Its not like herbs are limited items. I don't like the rot changes personally, for anything.

Hrm. It MIGHT be a death-rot thing. I'll give it some more testing, and see.

EDIT: The death-rot thing has ALWAYS existed for certain armors/weapons.

Does the timer on vials change if the user dies?

Yeah but i'm seeing it on common items, containers are the ones that get me the most. Sometimes they crumble and everything is gone. Sometimes not.
