Could be worse. I once tried dirting a stunned NPC and missed about 10 times.

Could be a lot better too.

Instead of sick dex stats give them a +5/+5 bspear/khopesh/flamberge so they have a better chance against equal level pcs.

Quit whining and accept the fact that what npcs lack in AI and lewt they get in stats. It's not exactly rocket science.

There's a bunch of things that affect dirt kick.

I think people that play barbarians will hate you if this gets "fixed."

Is there even a bug here?

It seems reasonable that NPCs at least ten levels below the PC, vs the PC's 21 dex, might have a chance of missing at least half of all dirt kicks, instead of dirting half a round after clearing the last dirt almost every time. So, I'd say it's a bug. Whether it is or not, that's another matter, but I'd say it is.

OA, it must be you. Last time I played a high dex char, the NPCs only landed their dirt kick rarely.

True, that. I dirt kicked once of OA's characters once, and he actually jumped in front of the dirt, yelling "Nooooo!"

Like I've always said, these damn Atheists are so confused it's not even funny.

Look on the bright side, every dirt kick costs movement.

I've had higher level merc characters with a decent dex and once dirt kick got into the superb category someplace is landed a good amount of the time.
