I have no idea if this is a bug or not, but I never remember seeing that "They are not here!" message when I tried to flee before. I was riding on a pegasus and had to leave it behind because it was too tired, that's the only thing I can think of to account for the message. |

It was probably pitch black or you were blinded and you were in a room with a named exit. |

All right, that was probably it. It should say IT or THAT is not here rather than THEY, though. |
