It's got iron studs in it, it's not totally off mark.

I would bug report that typo in the long description though. :p "Read" bolts.

If it was leather, it *still* wouldn't be necro wear, since leather is classed as light and not cloth armor.

It was probably built before D decided that belts should count for armor penalties. I can think of quite a few suits that were screwed over by that change.

Use typo in the room you can get said item and Im sure a builder will look at correcting it.
