Post subject:  Snare

> You walk south.
You step into a snare and are suddenly pulled off your feet!
A clanging bell announces that a snare has been set off.
You cut yourself free.

Selkwood Forest
Slender trees with a silvery bark grow tall here, their wide
Fff crowns adorned with leaves ranging in hue from pale green to pure
p*p white. Its branches reach upward towards the sky, swaying
p%p gracefully as the wind ruffles them and sends flurries of dry
leaves down to towards the forest floor. In between the trees,
numerous starfalls grow, their silky star-shaped crowns peeking up through
the fallen leaves and grass. A worn trail can be lean leading north and
south from here, winding serenely in between the trees. It's raining
lightly, mild, and breezy.
Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se
A large, rounded stone with a small hole in the middle stands here.
A clear spring has broken through the ground here, providing life-giving water.
A snake drapes itself from a perch nearby.

I don't see the bug. There is many factors on how long you stay snared. Your dex and number of snares is two things, that I can think of.

He moved into the room. He got snared. He cut himself free. He still can't move.

I'm pretty sure that the bug is pretty blatantly obvious.

Happened to me as well.

Probably it is only a TYPO.

Im with Revenger, it just says you cut free immediately, wait a while and you will really cut free. Happened to me. Messaging typo I would guess

I added some bolding to highlight the bug a bit more clearly.

The timing of the cutting-free message is incorrect. One for Dulrik of course, since it's the code.
