Drink containers have poison flags?
Poison water source via poison spell?

nah, I emptied it several times, refilled it at different fountains and it just sometimes randomly poisons me. It is very odd. It is totally random and weird.

and here is another example

Code:
[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 88%] - 12pm - zero
dri water
You drink water from a waterskin.
You do not feel thirsty.
You choke and gag.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 88%] - 12pm - zero
dri water
You drink water from a waterskin.
You do not feel thirsty.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 88%] - 12pm - zero
dri water
It is already empty.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 88%] - 12pm - zero
fil water
You fill a waterskin.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 88%] - 12pm - zero
dri water
You drink water from a waterskin.
You do not feel thirsty.
You choke and gag.

[HP: 97%] [ME:100%] [PE: 90%] - 1pm - zero
dri fou
You drink water from a small fountain.
You do not feel thirsty.

I'm 99% sure that there is a "poisoned" flag for waterskins. It is possible that you're resisting the poison, and therefor no message is being printed. The only thing I'm not sure about is: will poisoned water poison the water skin?

Actually, when you resist a poison, there's a message somewhere along the lines of You feel ill momentarily, but it passes. At least, that's what happens when something with a poisonous bite (such as rats or snakes) bites you.

I've had something like this happen before. I filled up my drink container from a river, which has a chance of getting you contaminated water, and from then on anything I put in the container was contaminated. I think it was plague rather than poison, though. I can't remember if casting cure on the container fixed it, or if I had to just junk it and get a new one.

Try casting detect poison on the empty skin. I know I've cured people's water barrels before.

This is the same thing that happens from drinking from lakes or other sources that have a "chance" of poisoning you.

Your container is either poisoned, or you keep refilling it from a poisoned water source.

The ticks you drink and don't get poisoned, is simply you resisting the poison, or the poison "failing", the ticks you get poisoned are you failing to resist the poison, or the poison succeeding in it's roll on whether or not to poison on drink.

You don't get a "you feel momentarily ill, but it passes" message for drinking. That's only on things like cast poison, and bites, etc...

Yeah, there's no failure message for drinking poisoned water.

Which is really funny when a griffon barb drinks from a barrel and then hands it to his elf sorc friend who ends up poisoned.

lol That's exactly what happened with me. I had been drinking from the thing for days without realizing it was poisoned then handed it off to someone else to drink and bam.
