In the following log my priest is in his own group with the destrier, all the others are in their own group. After the blast the dragon changed his target. I have noticed this happening other times also with blasts of frost from the old blue dragon in NW for example or with the sea dragon's blasts.

You get an idea of what happened there. I performed much better as a tank than what I was ever hoping for considering I was completely unbuffed.

Can this bug be fixed? Or is it intentional to randomly change targets? Because it kinda complicates things a lot when it comes to small groups(as in 1 warrior and 1 healer) travelling through NPCs with reach(like dragons or c'thonians).

PS: And the highlight of course during mid combat...

Wasn't AI code made to be smart enough to attack the person healing the tank? No?

D_A you should really edit it out people names. Now whoever Urif is will get killed in the game now just cause someone saw a log with him and Benjamin in it.

Something seems odd about that log. Isn't he biting you in the middle of his gas blast routine?

NPCs do that all the time.
Like, try getting a sorc guard NPC in your group behind you and order it to color spray itself. It will only hit you if its just you and the NPC in the group.

Or for example, ordering a pet to initiate combat and having the NPC your fighting cast a group affect spell like flamestrike and instead of hitting you and your pet it will come up with something like

NPC utters the words 'flamestrike'
NPC misses you <- Attack round
You are severely burnt as NPCs flamestrike slams into you. <- Spell


I forget the exact wording of the spell :P

Yes, he gas blasted Yotbol, then retargetted with AI because its an easier kill.
