The amount of ME/PE that bard songs take to sing seems to be set at a percentage of the bard's total pool, instead of as a set number of ME points per lyric sung. I.E., a bard with, say, 600 ME uses the exact same percentage per song line as a bard with 1000 ME. Is this intentional? |

If this is a bug, it's very bad, considering you had one of Shur's orbs |

An orb that added over half again my total mana pool, yes. |

Well I retested to make sure and this claim is false. Maybe your orb doesn't add as much mana to your pool as you think it does. |

> rem orb You stop using several orbs of golden energy. [HP:100%] [ME:126%] [PE:132%] Oh really? You'd think with that quantity of ME added, the ME drop per song lyric would be noticeably different, instead of dropping ME at the exact same rate by percentage with or without the orbs. |

I always assumed it was a set percentage myself. Seemed that way. On a side note, those set of orbs are so damn broken/ridiculously overpowered. |

With orbs: Quote: > twister You begin to sing. You sing: Noggins, gimbals, quick and nimble, [HP: 91%] [ME: 79%] [PE:100%] > You sing: Spinnin' round yon lightnin' pole, [HP: 91%] [ME: 78%] [PE:100%] > You sing: Come ta me now, ye shinin' thimble, [HP: 91%] [ME: 77%] [PE: 99%] > You sing: Deep within this hallowed hole. [HP: 91%] [ME: 76%] [PE: 99%] Without orbs: Quote: [HP:100%] [ME: 18%] [PE: 80%]

Is this because they're nosave/timered and you can't hoard them, or just because you don't like to go to the relatively minor effort of getting a small group together to get them? |

Could you possibly be more off? When I said that they were broken, I meant that they're totally absurd mechanics-wise. Fortunately, they're no-save and timed as you said. Most classes can get to them solo, so no effort there either. An ungodly amount of HP/mana added to certain classes, opens up insane possibilities. I've yet to try them on a necromancer in combination with animates, but just imagining it twists my gut. No, thanks. |

First, animates are limited by INT, not mana. Second, if you get an unlucky roll when you touch the pedestal, you're going to get your face ripped off trying to get them solo. |
