Haste: Too much to wish for?

I know it MAY increase the number of attacks by one... but I was shock to not even see one extra attack while my Sprite rogue was hasted.

Background info. for clarity:

strength - maxed
dexterity - maxed
constitution - maxed

weapon: wakizashi

Affected by: haste, frenzy, bless

nospam miss off

It never went above two attacks. Did I just have too high of hopes?

The fatigue afterwards is a major downer.

A sprite's dexterity at max is 25. If you type score you can see "how many items you hold" it will have a number and that is your dex.

Now 25 is the highest anyone can get it to so haste does nothing to a sprite just like giant strength does nothing to a giant.

Mood defensive, lack of PE or wrong size of your weapon might be reasons you get less attacks. Wakizashi should give third attack anyway without haste, 4th as a sprite with the extra attack.

Dexterity and weapon speed do not affect eachother. Same with haste.

Reason to why you only got two attacks, besides what DA said, might be the level of the haste as well.

The level of haste is a big factor. Generally an expert+ Haste is needed for an extra attack.
Also you said you never go above two which with a wakizashi a sprite would get innately?

Either you haven't learnt your second and third attacks which makes me think your still low level.. actually thats the only reason I can think of.

My sprite swash using one weapon used to get 4 attacks while hasted, up to 7 with both weapons. Haste is almost useless at low levels for a sprite until you get second/third attacks. Not to mention your weapon speed in general is alot lower at low levels.

thanks everyone, it was the haste potion from the sprite village....

I was comparing it to my sprite bard that would hit around five or six times, but then I remembered he had second attack (maybe even third), and had his pet attacking first.

I was just hoping to see three with the rogue I guess.

The haste potions from Elisair, are extremely weak. If I remember right, they only give you plus 1 dex.
