No offense to Achernar, but it's a really poor way of balancing the jail system that he apparently barely thought through.
In many cities the judges room is the only place to check the outlaw list, in the Empire it's one of the only two rooms that hold GM NPCs (the other being very far away from menegroth).
And still, as if [REDACTED] creating a nomagic in the judge will affect attackers - omg no, now they have to have someone who can cast a spell from a room away to get the key from the judge! And then they go to the room without any nomagic, the room outside of the jail, and unlock the door without losing their spells.
In Taslamar, the place people complained about, this is impossible - the nomagic is outside of the jail and must be entered to free someone.
