A Taslamaran courser misses a nyogtha.
A Taslamaran courser bites at a nyogtha's right leg, causing a sore wound.
You pound a nyogtha's chest, making him cough up blood!
A nyogtha bites at a Taslamaran courser's chest, barely wounding him.
Overall, a nyogtha has quite a few wounds.

I got spamed by that emote after ordering the pet to bash.

It's failing to target you for some reason. Might be a script, but it looks like a normal AI combat echo. Strange.

Ive seen this happen everywhere, was it stunned or second row? It does that because it is trying to attack you, maybe you were second row?

I was in the first row, but I think some how the bash affected it's ability to attack me, maybe the bash lag makes the emote spam till it can hit you?

I should also note that the bash was what started combat.

It happens to a lot maybe all with the same situation, its something about the prone change, since its fighting your horse but you own the horse it wants to target you but cant because its prone. If you keep bashing it the moment it regains its footing it won't target you, I think you still get those messages afterwards, seen it on the sailors in Garazul too I believe.

When you say this echo is 'spammed' do you mean the nine echoes happen within 1-2 seconds, or are they merely per combat round. If it's the former, we're probably taking a performance hit with the code in a (short) loop - worth fixing if that's the case.

You utter the words, 'gszabra ay yauhp'.
A bright spear of light appears in your hand!
Your faithful spear sails wide, but a mummy still cringes in pain.
A mummy is stunned, but will probably recover.
A mummy looks extremely angry and charges!
A mummy misses you.

You start to concentrate.

Your faithful spear impales a mummy's chest, killing it instantly.
A mummy is DEAD!!
You hear a mummy's death cry.
You get 3 gold coins from a corpse of a mummy.
You get 4 silver coins from a corpse of a mummy.
You get 9 copper coins from a corpse of a mummy.
You junk a corpse of a mummy.
Just keep it all.

I'm assuming these two things are related, but the mummy did the emote when he was close to death, and I'm assuming the near death stun is putting them in the prone position as well. He also probably shouldn't have been able to attack me again at that point either.

My guess is that prone or something else is interfering with scripts that make NPCs agressive after they have been stunned, or fled from based on what everyone else has said as well.

I was also on mode kill for this fight, he got to that near death stun by just me fighting him.

And to answer your question, the echoes all happened in roughly 1-2 seconds, the length of time between to rounds of combat.

I've seen this a lot, it can get spammed like 100+ times in the span of a few seconds. I'm almost certain it has something to do with the NPCs trying to "kill" you, and not being able to reach you, or not able to do it for some reason(e.g. being prone).
