I'm wondering if this is just me:

When I read a thread in the newbie forum, the bug discussion or the afterlife forum (might be other too) the thread doesn't get marked as read for me. It doesn't seem to be a problem in gameplay though.

I'm using firefox and I haven't changed any of my settings recently.

Actually, I have had the same issue too, I am also using firefox. I actually have to click on the mark as read button now.

I don't like using "mark as read" because I believe that adds one "reader" to each thread and I'm not into stat-padding. But yes, I am using firefox and I have the same issue. Forums that have had no posting in a week still show "new" postings, even after my computer restart. Last I switched forumids and switched back, they cleared up.

Edit: I just switched forumid and switched back. That does still clear it up but I don't like that option.

Actually, I don't think it's dependent on subforum now. I think it's only new threads that are being made.

I'm sure it's a compliance issue with firefox.

It may be an issue with using the .com extension versus the .org extension in your address bar. We own both domain names now, but the forum was originally set up to work with .org. Make sure you are always going to .org to make sure forum cookies work correctly.
