So... as I can understand people are dying because tribunals are setting their law NPCs to mode kill?
Now I could understand this if it only was only done to the NPCs you would move around with - but no. All kinds of law NPCs get the mode kill tag, even in areas used for lvl'ing.
Personally I find this to be pure exploitation and warrants big fat curses, maybe order skill removal.
The argumetation would be that it circumvents a portion of SK's code known as the law code.

What an oversight.

I didn't think law NPCs could be ordered to mode kill.

I know at least that the "Big Three" the Hand have can be set to mode kill while grouped with me. I've never tried with anyone else.

All NPCs can be set to mode kill, I still thought they would apprehend a criminal when on their own, though.

Not from what I was told. Speaking through others experience, not my own. It may be flawed - if so please correct me.

You can't apprehend criminals in enemy territory, and they only apprehend stunned criminals.

The problem is that tribunal members are ordering their law NPCs to mode kill, then fighting to stun. After their target is stunned, they're ordering the law NPC to kill the target, making them essentially law immune anywhere that they are at war with.

It's wrong. IMO, a rule should be instated that makes it illegal, removing the order skill from all trib members who abuse it.

It's just horribly inhibiting, as a combat-class on mode stun is noticably less efficient than one on mode kill...

An ideal solution would be to make law NPCs somehow refer legally back to its 'master', so that they would answer for any crimes they make - exactly like charms/pets are currently doing.

If this is possible, it would be a much more preferable solution to forcing them to be mode stun all the time.
