Okay, i have 20 field rations in a bishop's mantle. Whenever I try to take it out, using any command i know of that's supposed to work i get the message it it can't come off the ground.

I have used take HP:100%] [ME: 98%] [PE:100%]
> take all.field bishop

I have used > take field bishop

am i doing something wrong, or was I right to bug log this?

Try "get all.field bishop". That should be the correct syntax.

I logged this bug a while back also. no matter what you type it does not work.

It is possible there is an immovable object in the room you are in that cannot be removed and has the same target word as your field rations.

Sounds to me like a store-bought food item has accidentally been flagged "notake" which would let you stick it somewhere after it is placed in your inventory but would not allow you to pick it up again.

If you "get all bishop" do they come out with everything else?

i tried all that. it didn't work. Havn't signed back on again yet to retry it, but it didnt work with all the command syntax suggested thus far, in muliple rooms. both inside kytar, outside kytar, in sith, outside sith, in teron, and outside (and inside) chibunei....thanks for suggesting things anyways. it's not important really, since i will have the bishop's mantle "stolen" by thieves anyays most likely when i get on. i won't buy them in the future though.

They don't come out with everything else. My first post about this had it in it. I don't do the whole log thing, so i just copy pasted what happened.

Investing the time to learn how to auto log is well worth it. The only reason I can think of not to is drive space, and unless you're running on something small, I doubt very much that it's going to matter.

As far as the rations go, it sounds like the times that vnums are accidentally shifted or items get edited wrong. Some people have reported logging in to find they're carrying a cave entrance. Hopefully Achernar or someone can take a look at the item to see what's messed up.

Until then, I'd buy some new food. If you're not able to be patient enough, you may want to consider junking the container and all the rations. Hopefully someone will be nice enough to help you get another mantle if you're unable to do so yourself. These issues pop up every once in a while, but don't get too discouraged. This situation isn't typical by my experience.

well like i said, it ain't a real big problem. I have a priest, so i can just create food now. the only real (but slight) problem is i'm carrying twenty pounds of uselessness.

and i know it ain't typical, bc it hasn't ever happened to any of my characters before in just about four years of off and on again play.

I've never had to auto log anything before, so it hasn't mattered. Thanks for the suggestion though.
