> recall You dismount from a silver-winged pegasus. You plummet to your death! Your equipment is scattered beyond retrieval. You lose your concentration on detect invis. You no longer see invisible objects. You lose your concentration on detect hidden. You feel less aware of your surroundings. You have been KILLED!! The space around you tingles as the robes leave it. You feel less protected. You feel less protected. Your force shield shimmers then fades away. A silver-winged pegasus stops following you. The Taproom of the Hart and Rose The atmosphere is thick and close, pregnant with the musk of spilt ale, wood smoke and cooked food, heavy with the noise of boisterous conversation, song and laughter. Sawdust is spread liberally over the worn slate flagstones of the floor, upon which heavy wooden tables and benching press together, crowded with patrons that compete for the attentions of the serving wenches that move between them juggling platters of steaming food and flagons of ale. A fire crackles in the hearth set beneath a wide stone chimney brest in the north wall. An open wooden staircase in the south climbs up to the rooms above. Obvious exits: e(closed) w u ne(closed) A sign by the door reads "Keep yer Horses OUT!". A large notice hanging from the rafters reads, "RIFTS ARE PROHIBITED HERE!" A cork notice board hangs on the east wall. A hand-pump is here to dispense beer. A battered old bin stands in the corner of the room. A broad male dwarf is here. A serving wench moves deftly through the taproom serving drinks. A bard is here, entertaining the crowd. A freeman of Exile is here, quietly supping his ale. A small boy works here collecting glasses and clearing the tables. A thuggish-looking giant glowers here, watching the customers for trouble. The swordsman Halfdane is here, quietly drinking by the fire. A brutish-looking man stands impassively at the door watching the crowd. The warrior Grimm is here, regaling folk with tales of his youth. Please tell me this is a sick, sick bug! There is no reason you shouldn't be able to recall even while mounted on a flying pet in the ocean! I mean, if I dismounted, I would have died too! The two people I -was- with used WoR and it worked JUST FINE. What's the difference?! Awww |

DANG I'm glad I didn't find this bug. And the difference is that WoR brings your pet with you: Recall forces you to dismount (apparently before recalling) which is why you got owned. |

I swear I recalled yesterday, trying to do this same quest, and it was JUST FINE. Same pets, same people, same area... but the player and I (Maraigh, fwiw) recalled because there was no warlock and the gale kept blowing us off track. Try it again tonight... and... ownage? |

Probably last time you did it, you were flying yourself as well. The problem is if you aren't flying, but you are flying on a mount in a fly-only room, then try to recall. |

Nope.. the reason I had the flying pets was so I didn't have to hold fly or rely on stave for that long a trip (this is the Chaos site for the All Gods quest, in case that wasn't clear) |

If only sorcerers had a way to transport themselves to a portal stone, perhaps a teleportation spell of some sort. It should really be looked into. |
