A circle of stones Not far from the city of Teron, this small clearing is home /yyyy to the renowned portal stones, of which several scatter the --*yy realms. Brave souls have been known to utilize the arcane power ryyyy that is bound to the stones, travelling to far lands in the blink of an eye. A path leads west through the fields, directly to the city gate. It's partly cloudy, freezing, and very windy. Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se gate rift A magical gate glowing with red energy leads elsewhere. A magical rift is glowing violently in the mid-air. A set of rune-inscribed stones frame the center of the clearing here. A sable-black bay destrier exits out of a magical gate. [HP:100%] [ME: 35%] [PE: 97%] > se You walk southeast. You step into a snare and are suddenly pulled off your feet! A clanging bell announces that a snare has been set off. You cut yourself free. Thistle Fields A field of lush green grass has grown up in this spot, marked --?yyyF here and there by thistles and heather. Occasionally one can spy ryy*yFf a bird's nest hidden in the fields or a gopher hole. It's prrrrrf partly cloudy, freezing, and very windy. Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se A sable-black bay destrier soars in from northwest. [HP:100%] [ME: 35%] [PE: 95%] > east You are caught in a snare and can't move! [HP:100%] [ME: 35%] [PE: 95%] |

Also, when you are stuck in a snare and you teleport...You are still stuck in a snare no matter where the teleport takes you. |

Snares are a debuff affect falling in the same catagory as weaken, slow, ect, so if you teleport away with a snare you'll still have it just like if you teleport while weakened. That's been something that has been around forever. Not always cutting yourself free of a snare when the message goes by is the only bug I know of that snare does, and I've never been able to repeat it to get a good log of it not working. |

Which religion's faith spell is Esuna? I'd really like to play that one. |

After looking it over,I think it's just an echo(?) if someone and/or your pet gets caught in a snare. A thick-maned lion steps into a snare and is suddenly pulled off of his feet! A clanging bell announces that a snare has been set off. You cut yourself free. ? |

It isn't an echo, that is the game telling you that you are free to go. |

Right when you get snared though? That just happened to me the same way: got snared and cut myself free right away but was still actually snared. |

What orius posted was actually of MY character. And I was flying when this happened so to me this looks like an echo that happened when my lion got snared. |

I don't know what to call it but it's not supposed to show up. You can't cut yourself free of something you weren't caught in,does that make sense? |

The same thing happens when you are ethereal. You cant be caught in it, so you automatically cut yourself free. |
