This same thing happened to me yesterday with my agate band, it just randomly disappeared and I know for sure that too is not stun rot, and the proof is even here as I still have it this time. |

Or if it was stolen originally. Stolen goods do rot on death/stun. |

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think sometimes the game will let you buy items slightly over the limit for that item. In that case they might be subject to rotting also. Is the item limited? |

If there is a unique store-bought item and you junk it, when the game reboots you can buy two of them. Naturally, if you die or get stunned, the "false" item rots and only one remains. |

There's a serious bug with some unique store bought things. Like the spectacles of True Sight. Buy one. Junk it. She has two on the next respawn. Buy them, junk them, she has three next respawn. And on and on, it increases by one every time. Of course they all rot when stunned or killed. |

I had this problem with the hoplite shields when I first created them - this sounds like what the problem here is. |

It's not about being bought or not - it's about item limits. |
