Quote: A silver ring with a blood-red ruby on your finger glows.
A silver ring with a blood-red ruby magically toughens your clothing. It's cold! [HP:100%] [ME: 65%] [PE:100%] The day has begun. [HP:100%] [ME: 63%] [PE:100%] > The sound of several dogs barking echoes through the streets. [HP:100%] [ME: 61%] [PE:100%] Your clothing feels soft again. ...So this has been happening to me rather recently after another one of my scripted items was changed. Has someone been tweaking with the scripts on items? There was less than 5 ticks between the application and fading with the full cost of the spell. |

Seems fair? Nice way to make the effort of implementing dragonscale a complete waste of time. Good job Achernar. Do you guys ever get anything right? rofl Why don't you try tweaking some of the really ABSURD items, like the trio of brightly colored spheres from Owyran? I mean, Resist Elements, Armor, Water Breathing, Invis, Cure Disease, Cure Poison, and Refresh on every PC in the room for about 7%ME is a pretty balanced item, right? |

I'm not sure how a script - makes the effort of implementing dragonscale a waste of time. Dragonscale exists and will continue to exist, script or no. If the script goes, hey, that's not the only source of magical vestments. (Nor is that the only mv script) Speaking of scripts, though, what I think Achernar is saying is that a script may or may not be as reliable as having a PC cast it - in terms of duration and power both. In fact, scripts with power fluctuations/difference in spells is a novel thing that I think is worth trying more. Do you ever get anything right, Syn? rofl!11!11oneoneone...eleven! :p EDIT: It's kind of funny how there was a call put out for reporting overpowered scripts sometime ago, which I was personally spearheading. Rather, it's funny that no one reported it. We don't claim to be omniscient, or have rememberance of every script in the game - especially scripts that weren't created by us personally. So, if you want something done about a script that you think is overpowered - hey, IDEA log that it might be overpowered, or send an email to us, and it will be looked at. |

Dragonscale is useless without magical vestments. If you're going to skin anyways, and you don't have MV, you'll skin Mithril....The only reason dragonscale is even used, is because of those MV rings. Do you see any priests wearing dragonscale? No. You. Don't. You know, it'd be nice to have an IMM who still looked at the game from the way it's played. |

Sure. I. Do. Man, I love it when people tell me what I do or don't do. Considering I whip up characters all the time to test out things and actually play and pk - characters who've even interacted with yours, go figure - that's a whole lot of waah with little to go behind it. |

I don't believe a script should constantly provide any benefit. Dragonscale is much more widely available than mithril because it exists on a specific common race type. Mithril monsters do exist but are not as plentiful and more difficult to access. Magical vestments has many sources. |

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that "absurd" is your word of the day? Thanks for the submissions. |
