Bastibul Plains
These plains spread wide and far, giving one the impression
ppppv   that they are endless.  The wheat glows with a vibrant gold,
pp*pl   almost to the point where you think it is burning.  To your
pppll   disbelief however, the wheat does not burn, but seems to glory in
the light and absorb it as if it were a part of it.  You can
almost see the wheat growing taller as you stand and watch, despite the
impossibility, you start to think that it has indeed grown taller, but then
again, that could just be a trick of the wind.   It's mostly clear, mild,
and calm.

You walk east.

...After catching back up to him...

A trapper smirks.
A trapper says 'Don't I remembdr you?  Go on, now.  Shoo.'
[/code]

I started a quest by talking to him, but after he walked away, he won't finish his spiel. Unless I get a stroke of genius, I'm not gonna be able to finish this one. Makes me very sad.

...Sadness, which can be remedied with the Tear-Incinerator-9000! A new exciting product from OthetCorp! Why waste time bringing down your friends and moping around by whining and sobbing? The salt content of your tears acts as an electrical medium to complete a circuit, sending powerful current from the Incinerator straight to your enemies' heart. The faster you cry, the harder they die!

But yeah... what should I do about the quest?

I loved this quest so much. Really nostalgic.

But then, I'm the kind of person who made that chart for race-class-alignment combinations. :P

I can't stand that quest as I think some of the statements are really misleading.

That said, you totally got the shaft. You could uhh... roll a newbie char and get the full set of statements, I guess? Just make sure you follow him first, I guess...

Its a logic puzzle. Each statement is not enough to figure out the truth, but when they all come together, they say more than the sum of their parts.

I used to have to solve puzzles like that all the freaking time.

It was part of my Imperial Suk Conditioning. :drunk:

On topic: Hopefully you've used the BUG or IDEA commands where the problem is... sounds like a nudge or two might be needed to remind folks that NPCs can receive tells too.

Off topic: For those who thought the race/class/alignment combination was complex, this is the 'normal' logic stuff grep is talking about...

The puzzle - http://www.braingle.com/brainteasers/27 ... pring.html

The grid - http://www.braingle.com/brainteasers/lo ... p?id=27770

Facts from various sources allow you to derive other facts. Gradually you build up a completed grid and can answer the original question posed.

Okay... I know logic puzzles work, but the actual hints themselves are misleading. Geez.

Also, has no one else figured out that the real problem Othet is posting is the fact that the tracker wanders off in the middle of his quest messages? He only got half of the hints.
