This is probably a feature, but it would be very nice not to die every time I get jumped by ten aggro NPCs and my dumbass horse decides to try a bash and miss. I would very much like to be able to abandon my prone mount in order to flee. |

I did not try freeing it, but that is a wonderful idea for not dying in the future. |

I'm pretty sure freeing the mount won't do you any good if you're already riding it, unless the code was changed in the last year. |

Think about it this way: if you are riding a horse and YOU get bashed, can you still 'flee?' Keep your mounts outside the group if possible. :) |
