[HP: 73%] [ME: 37%] [PE: 36%] > l nec Hopefully a construct of some sort, the necrophidius resembles a skeletal serpent, if that creature while living fed on horse-sized prey. Arching ribs run the length of the creature, mounted off its sinuous backbone. Its skull appears to be more monstrous in origin: lacking the elongated serpentine snout in favor for stouter, more powerful jaws. Bits of rotted flesh cling to the bone in several places. Its abdomen is scratched. Its left arm is scratched. Its right leg is scratched. Overall, a necrophidius has a few scratches. A necrophidius is using: <worn as skin> ivory hide (brand new) <both hands> a stout flint-tipped pike (superb) A necrophidius bites you! You feel momentarily ill but it passes. Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se The severed foot of a wraith is here. (Charmed) A golden-furred male lion is here, confidence in his step. (Invis) You are flying here. (Invis) You are flying here. Bounty NPCs see through midnight, last I checked. Edit: And his point was that it didn't break any of his mirror images. |

Edit: And his point was that it didn't break any of his mirror images. Oh. Could the thing just have gotten really lucky, like I am talking about 1 in a 1000000000 odds. He does have three mirrors left. We have no idea how many he started with. Not as single one was broken? I have found with law NPCs, if they have a secondary attack like bite or kick and they land it on you, they will continue to hit you. But if not they will hit the mirror image and hit those till they hit you and will keep on hitting you. |

Naw they just have true seeing. The chance of the NPC getting lucky (just in the snippet shown above) is 1/3125. Jhorleb implied that it went on for a while. Even three more hits and we're talking about 1/41625 Jhorleb plays a priest, so his MI probably comes from a scroll that only gave 4 images in the first place. He can verify that, and can also check his log to make sure he only had 4 images to start with, not that it really matters. . . Like I said before, bounty NPCs have repeatedly engaged me under midnight. I think this change might even have been announced. It's been this way for a while. |
