Theres zero reason that a level 30 giant merc with max CON and modded dex should lose that much PE when "soaring" over any sort of terrain. I should also add that the level 29 human merc with the same sort of build is losing 2 to 3 PE per room. |

He's flying. Would that matter? |

I am not sure it would matter, but I know that does affect your PE consumption while moving. Therefore it is a possible source of the PE loss - Then we can argue if its a bug or a feature if this proves to be the problem. |

Nope. Nothing affecting me except for flight - no mangled limbs, nothing. |

No you thought nothing was affecting you, but what it actually was.... It's partly cloudy, cool, and very windy. Ten bucks says you were flying into the wind and yes this is a feature. |

It's partly cloudy, cool, and very windy. Ten bucks says you were flying into the wind and yes this is a feature. Right, it is normally a feature, but here is where we go into further discussion. The wind didn't affect the human merc, as OP says only 2-3 PE per move, but this move affected the giant. My question to you all, if one person is affected, should the entire "follow" party be affected. I think the entire party should be affected. And once again, this opens up more room for discussion. Should the amount of PE used scale with anything? Size could be taken into consideration, as wind has more to hit with a giant than a gnome. Yeah, I think I'm done. This could go on for some time. |

You're carrying too much crap. Being overburdened dramatically increases PE loss, as well as hurts your dodge and hit chance. |

Without seeing a complete log, it is very difficult to determine what is the issue. Most likely, it's a combination of factors, but the PE code has been working correctly for a long, long time. |
