Hey,

I'm sure I'm going nutty. But I can't seem to get through the halls of creation as a delf necromancer right now. I go for male (presumably no big deal here), diabolic (surely right?), deep-elf (okay), and then get no necromancer option.

Has it been disallowed for being far too powerful?! I continued on with one character just to doublecheck my typing, and ended up with a diabolic deep elven scout happily enough.

Edit: Hey, I checked and I can't seem to roll a necromancer at all right now. I have got it right they're meant to be diabolic, right?

Sekrat!
Shhhh.

P.S. You're doing it right, so yeah. We'll have to wait and see.

Are you new to Shattered Kingdoms? If you check yes to this question you will be unable to roll a necromancer, otherwise you're doing everything else right.

Wow, well done. I'm not new - in fact I now just answer the questions without reading them - and it never occured to me that it mattered to answer yes or no!

Never knew noobs weren't allowed to play necromancers - I had half a feeling this whole thread should have been in noob help forum.

I have not not tested this, but if this is the case, there should be some clear warning to "new" players that not all race and or class combinations will be available to them.

We need less of that exactly.... then we wouldn't need the Name and shame thread in GD. For shame.

Actually, we specifically do NOT want to warn noobs that certain classes and races aren't available to them. That would be the surest way to sucker them into wanting to play a class that they probably aren't prepared to handle.

Well, with this being a completely open forum board to all...then you're doing it wrong. don't even have to register to read this thread.

A true noob is probably not going to have exhaustively read this forum. But if they have, more power to them. They might be the type that does enough in-depth prep before playing that can handle it.

For shame?

I must admit, I think opinionated twerps moaning on the forums (specifically, your post here and that thread you've linked) are more likely to drive people from the game than someone who has "the clueless newbie" title for 10 minutes when they're not really one.

Idiot.
