If I'm riding a mount, and I get in combat and my mount isn't, my mount can move, which moves both of us. Same if my mount is in combat and I'm not and I move: We both move, allowing him to leave combat without any repercussion. For Example: Quote: bash NPC You slam into a NPC and send her sprawling! Your bash knocks the wind out of a NPC. [HP:100%] [ME: 85%] [PE: 92%] > You punch at a NPC's head, causing a pulsating wound. Your shield blocks a NPC's attack. Overall, a NPC has some small wounds and bruises. [HP:100%] [ME: 85%] [PE: 92%] > o ste north You punch at a NPC's head, splitting open a bleeding gash! Your shield blocks a NPC's attack. Overall, a NPC has some small wounds and bruises. [HP:100%] [ME: 85%] [PE: 92%] > You punch at a NPC's chest, causing only a minor wound. A NPC misses you. Overall, a NPC has some small wounds and bruises. [HP:100%] [ME: 85%] [PE: 92%] > You ride a spirit steed north. It seems that flee should allow you to move with your mount/rider, but not just walking somewhere normally. |

While I can definitely see this as buggy, it also kind of makes sense: at least from the steed's perspective. If it's not caught up in combat, what's stopping it from simply wandering off? It would probably make more sense to have the "leave behind" code work in this scenario: i.e., if the rider moves when the steed is in combat, he leaves the steed behind... similarly, a rider caught in combat gets left behind by a moving steed. |

Doesnt make sense if you are riding it that it just walks off and you don't. |

Figured eventually someone would want to bring this issue to light |

This is one of those messy issues that I now have on my list of things to do but may not touch for awhile. |

Yeah, thinking through the possible solutions for this definitely made it seem to be a very messy issue to fix. |

Then this is a feature for now and not a bug? Easy fix could be not to let you mount a pet which isn't grouped with you. Also while mounted it will always assist. That might be really annoying in certain sparring/dueling situations but does seem kinda logic to me that it would be that way. EDIT: Wont work for 2nd row though, unless you're riding a dragon :/ |

Where did I say it was a feature and not a bug? Nowhere. |

I believe this is fixed now. Let me know if it isn't. And btw, this thread proves Edoras did indeed report the issue first. |

viewtopic.php?f=26&t=21275 This thread proves I mentioned it before Edoras. |
