There are some cases where there are two teaching NPCs in one room. If you 'train', both will give you what they train or give you the appropriate message. However if you ask for 'train stat', the one first in room will give the message and the first one only. Let's say you have NPC A that trains str and NPC B that trains dex. Typing train stat dex will result in NPC A saying that they don't train that... is there a specific reason? If not, can it be fixed? It's a little corner case, but depending on alignment you can't just kill the trainer in the way. (I definitely did though) |

This isn't trivial as I've fallen foul to it in Exile on many occasions. I wanted to train cha and only knew that the bard at the cross could do this. Problem was, if there was another NPC in the area they would respond saying "I can't train cha". My only solution was to walk away and come back later in the hope that the other NPC had walked off. |

Agreed, each NPC in the room should be able to train the stats they can train. Being the last in the room shouldn't make the NPC the stat king (or queen, depending on if you're... male or female). |

Related: Sometimes, there are two trainers in a room that offer the same skill or spell. Characters should be able to select the lower cost. It seems that the game defaults to the higher price every time. :/ |

Just bad luck. It's entirely dependent on which one entered the room first. |

Or how about all NPCs given the ability to train any stat.... This would fix the problem. |

None. It was just an example. But roleplay wise, the stats that are offered by certain trainers follows along a logical path. Warriors teach Str, Dex, Con, MOVE and HP. Priests train Wis, Int, and Art. Bards train Cha. |

Dulrik wrote: Just bad luck. It's entirely dependent on which one entered the room first. You can't possibly call the Hart and Rose "bad luck". Those trainers are there all the time and the way to get them to move is to kill them, kill someone else, etc. One example, but there's at least one example of constantly clumped trainers. |
