Without going to into it, is it a timed spell, as in does it have a duration?

No. Fairly certain I could hold it all day if my heart desired.

Doesn't seem like a bug, you wouldn't have been able to cast it again if you released it.

No, but I can still participate in PvE with an ability that should be disabled.

I don't see how it -has- to be that way. If your relic was taken while you were holding the spell you'd still have it up, and I feel like that's not too big of a deal.

Yea, this is not a bug. If you feel you are going around the system, simply type release all? It would take far too much uneeded time and coding to add extra spells to the log-off release category, for such a simple issue.

I would say this IS a bug, but not one that occurs often enough or is serious enough to be worth taking the time to fix.

Just wrote a poor man's fix for this bug...

Script NPC called "Theft of a relic" that periodically loops through any online members of cabals that don't have their relic...

"Theft of a relic persuades you to release all."

Sorted.

...just kdding!
