I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it seems like it might be.
Standing behind one's air elemental with a reaching weapon, and casting chain lightning at enemies in the same room. Once everybody has been electrocuted or killed by the elemental my warlock begins striking his elemental. The elemental is a good pet and doesn't fight back, but it seems the only way to stop it is to flee, and the elemental comes right along still in formation, and everything's back to normal.

It's barely a bug, since who you attack works as intended for all cases including this one. It's just in the case of your pet elemental, it won't fight back and won't leave your group the way anything else would. You can stop fighting without fleeing by un-equipping your weapon. But I'll put in a fix in the next update anyway.

Indeed. I have no idea whether that comment was agreement, disagreement or confusion.

Removing the weapon you say? Yeah... maybe that would have been something worth trying rather than running away like an idiot. But like I said I wsn't even sure it was a bug since chain lightning hits evrybody including my elemental and just hoping since it was air it would be okay. But thanks all the same for the fix.

With ivstnesr this would happen, just remove the weapon and combat will stop.
