As it stands when you are hidden and look at someone who has detect hidden you step out of the shadows. This seems rather ridiculous. Can this be changed D? |

I sure do wish this wasn't so. But I imagine that is the intended way for it and is justified as you looking at them gets noticed by them and thus draws attention to yourself. This could be countered with a person with detect hidden looking at someone hiding would draw even more attention to them, and yet doesn't drop hiding, but I'd still be surprised (pleasantly) to see this change. |

I don't think it should be a free pass, but should check your hide+sneak+dex skills to determine if you step or if they just see "looks at you" without the stepping out. |

Then if you're invisible and look at someone invis it should draw attention to them as well. Maybe don't let the hidden stay hidden and instead make the invis shown when they are seen as well. |

invis in an effect. it is not an active ability. The same logic should not necessarily apply to each. Looking at someone who is invis, or them looking at you, or them doing anything besides starting combat will not make them visible again, and it shouldn't. Doing pretty much anything besides looking will always take someone out of hiding, and this makes sense. I would agree that there is no real reason that looking at someone who can see you should make you less hidden. If anything, being looked at is what should make you less hidden. That would nerf the skill for sure, though. |

Isn't the whole "Coming out of hiding when you look at someone" level based too? |

I don't think it would be to bad if this change were made, Its not like they can't just poke you out of the shadows anyway. |

I can totally see someone actually talking to you or calling you out bringing you out of hiding, but not simply looking at someone who has detect hidden. |

I'd agree with Revel. Calling someone, or bringing attention to them would make sense. However, someone being able to detect hidden, and looking at the hidden individual, shouldn't bring them out. I imagine a situation where you have a sorceror/hellion in a room talking to someone, noticing a rogue that he knows hiding, glancing at him but not bringing attention to them. Not a terribly big deal I guess though. I would, however, like to see hidden people be able to send tells without coming out of the shadows. |

Also if you are not detecting anything, and someone is invis and hiding, and they step out of hiding, you are able to see them do so. I think this should be changed. You shouldn't know that there is an invis person in the room just because they are no longer hiding behind a chair. |
