Quote: You ride a flying seahorse east. The Bridge of Khalida You find yourself traveling on a worn, cobblestone roadway yr| before the impressive, gleaming walls of Exile. The gates are -* housed within a twin-towered barbican that jealously watches the yr# western road. Of the same white stone as the high, crenellated walls that sheer away to the north and south, the city gleams like a jewel set upon the landscape of Taslamar. The Queens's colours fly proud atop each of the barbican towers, whilst the shadows of men moving behind the battlements atop the white walls speak of the continual vigilance of a city long accustomed to the threat of many foe. In the distance, a split in the road to the east offers a path to the northeast and southwest while a road to the west offers transportation to the north and south. Golden waves of long grass ripple throughout the landscape all around you, the warm smell of earth and grain reaches your nostrils. It's snowing lightly, well past freezing, and very windy. Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se city The white city walls of Exile arise gleaming to the east. (Charmed) A flying seahorse is here mounted by you. From here the r|y city looks quite pretty, although not quite pristine. You can #*# see the river entering the city boundary from the northwest, then r#r continuing on its way southeast. It's snowing lightly, well past freezing, and very windy. Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se city [HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 97%] Okay, I get that tame is like charm, but a naturally flying animal that I'm forced to leave behind seems kind of silly. Being forced to leave any pet behind is silly, really. It's not as though there's any tactical benefit from taking your tame over a city and dropping it . . . why are my pets refusing to follow? Can this be tweaked? Should it remain as-is? If so, can I have some sensible justification? Thanks. |

The horse isn't actually flying at the time: So either it landed since you tamed it, it wasn't flying when you tamed it, or the pet itself doesn't have innate flight (Some of which may be something the builder of the tames area can fix). You can tell he isn't flying because of the line "(Charmed) A flying seahorse is here mounted by you." Which, if he was flying, would be "(Charmed) A flying seahorse is flying here mounted by you." And you happened to leave him behind because you were personally flying: If you hadn't been, you would have gotten a "you aren't flying" message. It's just misleading that the pet itself is called a "flying seahorse" although it doesn't actually have to be flying all the time. Sort of like how flying squirrels can walk if they want. |

It's an innate flying pet. It's also highly unlikely that I ever landed him, being a sprite. |

It's not flying in that log. |

Okay then. This is why I don't bother to post most of my issues. I just look like a massive dumb [REDACTED] noob. Which, I suppose I am. It works fine. |

Aww, don't feel bad. At least you don't chain lightning yourself and your friends during PvP. |
