At least, until you try to wear them.

You buy a pair of gauntlets encrusted with diamonds.
You pay 3 gold, 4 silver, 5 copper in sales tax.
Ralium says to you 'Hese is zero in change.'
Ralium exclaims 'Thanj you!'

remove gaunt
You stop using a pair of gleaming tanso steel gauntlets.

Yeah, this really sucks. You can even buy something and put it in your container, and then when you pull it out you drop it. It would be very nice to be prohibited from buying it or at least be given some warning of aura restrictions.

Location: At home. Or work, maybe. Or working from home.
The really nasty part is when you realize sorcerers can abuse this to fade items and remove the aura zap.
