After having bought a journal and read the instructions on it for proper use, I proceeded to fill a few pages. Unfortunately, when trying to read it today, it seems those pages never transcribed properly but are still counting as being 'written'. Note the difference at the bottom of the quoted text, where it refers to one page as blank, another as null, and two more as .. whatever those two odd characters stand for. Quote: > look journal This blue journal is waiting for someone to personalize it with their own name. Inside of the book there are sixteen thick vellum pages of a pale blue color. They are labelled page01 - page16. The owner of this journal may turn page## and then record <message> to leave their entries. A copy of alanei's journal is made of vellum and size small. Generally, the entire note system could really do with a slight revamp. For starters, allow the writer to <append> to an existing page! It's a hell of a bummer to have to stop mid-writing to reply to an important tell and then have to write the text all over again! |

Write the note in notepad, broken into appropriately lengthed segments, and then copy/paste into the game! Done in seconds and no chance you'll have to stop to answer that tell before you're done. |

Or adding in an ability to miraculously erase written word. (insert soft oohs and ahhs here) To lessen the potential for 'trollin' libraries and ruining treasured texts, it could either be an class-exclusive skill orrrr simply have the book have a hidden tag allowing the original author to edit it. I can dream! |

Yeah, I was so excited when I first found that journal, as it would've been perfect for bim. I was able to personalize it but it never properly recorded a single thing on the ppages, and this was some time ago. A working IC journal would be really nice. |

Stumbled on this item not long ago, and could not seem to get any functional result. Figured it at least worth a shot. |

Whatever script is trying to provide the effect that you're describing sounds dangerously crashworthy. Invalid characters like the ones shown in the log above would be an alarm bell for Dulrik, I would have thought. |

I posted the log to try and get attention to the bug but this thread was pretty much ignored except for comments from other players. Ah well! Was worth a shot. |
