Your petrification spell turns a tranquil male griffon to stone! A tranquil male griffon is DEAD!! Couple things i'm noticing. A hostile spell isn't initiating combat thereby waking up the PC? The other thing is that the Innkeeper is either really slow, or did not recognize a resisted petrification attempt as an act of attempted murder. |

I agree the resisted petrification should have woken the griffon and sent the innkeeper off to report. |
