Code:
[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 90%]
> shoot n guard
You fire a reinforced archery bow to the north!
You miss a guard.
A diamond battle arrow sails far into the distance.
You load your weapon with a diamond battle arrow.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 90%]

XXX slams into a guard and sends him sprawling!

You fire...

If someone spam-bashes while in a group with a ranged weapon, they can land a bash through the auto-assist-in-combat system from a room away immediately after a hit is struck. The guard did not track into the room I shot from, meaning I could have had 3 free rounds of shooting.

Bash: Because It Can Only Get Worseâ„¢

Yeah. In this case, though, the problem isn't only with bash - it's about any skill you can target without an anchor once you're in combat. This could be relayed to taunt, dirt, blitz, headbutt, trip, et cetera.

I really don't think bash is all that terrible, as it is. :(

Bash is that terrible. Wonder if this would also apply to spells without target. I'll have to test it. Seems like it's related to how the new combat code tracks the "in-combat" state.

Bash / general immobilization options are pretty wild! That said, I'll try to replicate this at some point.
