Doesn't work, you don't get a message or anything, but you can still tick improve at it. Also Code: [Skills help] blitzkrieg Syntax: blitz Blitzkrieg, like other skills which fighters have, can be used during combat to increase the damage done to their enemies. It allows those wielding a slashing type weapon to make a single attack against everyone in the front row of the enemy formation. The skill can be used but once every few rounds. The description is a bit ambiguous as to make no mention that you have to be in the front row, or that it only attacks those currently meleeing the Mercenary directly (Which is 100% silly, I see no reason why you can't blitzkrieg if you are in the front row and not being hit) |

This has been noted hundreds of times. I don't think Dulrik cares about the skill. But if you use it in a situation where it cannot be used you can still improve at the skill, and it still devours movement as though it was used. Reading from the helpfile it would appear it is not working as intended, but I'm sure there's some reason for it working in its current incarnation. |

Yea that particular helpfile is useless and confusing! It only works while in the front row and against things that are hitting you. It would be nice if it just hit the front row of what you are fighting! As of now, the only way the skill hurts anything is if you are aggressive, and if you are aggressive and getting hit by multiple PC's while in the front row then you will likely die. So in PVP it is worthless, inv PVE it can actually be quite handy! |

Agree it should hit the enemy front row regardless of targeting. But I think you should have to be in front to use it. |

I disagree, but only because I would tear enemy formations up if this were implemented. As it stands, I can't think of a single circumstance that could convince me that blitzkrieg were a better choice than bash or quaff heal, so it doesn't really matter what changes were implemented (cue Sargas). |

As I was saying. Blitzkrieg is useless. It's never used in PvP, because it's just an additional attack, and the circumstances you would use it in would just mean your character is about to die, fast and horribly. It certainly doesn't compare to spirit horde in utility. If it were fixed though, it would give mercenaries something additional to do in the second row other than dirt kick and trip. Yeah those are the only two things you can really do in the second row since everything else requires direct melee. Well maybe save for rallying cry and retreat, both of which are way >>>>>>>>> than blitzkrieg. I can't think of any circumstance where I would want to use blitzkrieg. I would rather use disarm and bash over it. I am convinced Dulrik hates this skill though. I don't think he's ever commented on it. Still, mercenaries are beyond fine without a fix to this skill. |
