you have a mod to str from enchantments.

Giant Strength and enchanted str mods don't stack to go over your racial max. Still stacks with innate str mods.

First off, whaat?

Second off, that doesn't explain why the affect didn't even show up and why I didn't get fatigue.

I'm going to give peso the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant:

"Do you have a str mod from enchantments? Maybe that is what is causing this bug, which is obviously a bug."

Let me try to understand this. If you are a human shaman with 20 strength, and you get weak giant strength, your new maximum strength will be 25, and your actual new strength will increase to 22 (this will depend on the strength of the giant strength spell). Now, if you have enchanted a strength mod for +3str, this will not stack with the +2 actual strength you got from giant strength? Even if this is true, giant strength should show up in the affects list.

Are you a giant?

My guess would be that patrisaurus must have been wearing more than +4 strength in enchanted STR mods, so the giant strength ended up getting bypassed somehow.

Definitely buggy though.

Some examples after a bit of testing, lets say you are a half-elf merc with 20 natural max str.

*You have trained to 12, you have a ring with 3 enchanted str mod and a vial of gs for another 2. They will stack for a total of 17.

*You have trained to 16, you have a ring with with 3 innate mods and the vial for another 2, they will stack for a total of 21.

*You have trained to 16 you have a ring with 3 enchanted mods and the vial for another 2, they will only stack to 20.

*And in the case where gs doesn't show at all in effects, you have trained to 16, you have a ring with 4 enchanted mods, and high lvl gs spell for another 4. They will not stack at all and you will still have 20.

So ultimately, enchanting for STR isn't worth it if you want to go above your racial max with GS. To do that you need innate mods.
