So, my spirit rider became invis, so I was invis. I'm really not sure what to do about this. Hoch (as an MR barbarian) should not be really going invis, but certainly people who are mounted and cast invis on themselves, or camo, or hide should all be considered "hidden" through their respective means. However, I just feel twinkish being able to go invis like this.

It isn't exactly a bug (because I didn't actually gain the invis spell affect)... but it still seems a bit fishy.

Thoughts?

You are not really invis and can still be targetted.

I had some people tell me they couldn't see me. I'm not sure if I actually was invis, they just seemed to to think I was. It was a confusing time for us all.

Maybe it is nothing.

It's a display oversight I think, good on you for bringing it up.

Mounts (PC and NPC) are removed from the lines displayed in the room, probably so as to avoid spam, so that you see:

Rider is here, riding on Hoch.

instead of

Rider is here, riding on Hoch.
Hoch is here, mounted by Rider.

Which is good except in this instance.

If you can detect invis you can see both. If you can't detect invis you can see neither, but if you know by some other means that the mount is there you can target.

That is very interesting. If am understanding you correctly, you are saying that someone can still, for example, "bash hoch" even though they cannot actually see my character there (if they don't have detect invis).

Obviously, if they do have detect invis both my rider and my character are visible.

I never knew any of that. At any rate, I don't feel like it is a good idea to have MR barbarians being capable of this time of invisibility, but I really don't have a solution.

I don't know how I feel about this. I could see it going one of two ways. When a character is invisible, everything that is on them becomes invisible, too. The spell isn't on their breastplate, but it is not able to be seen, presumably because the one with the invisible spell is touching it. With this in mind, you could say that the mount being invisible makes sense, and the fact that they can still target you could be the bug.

On the other hand, you could say only the one character should be invisible, so you going invisible is the bug.

It's a pretty close call, but I'm leaning towards both being invis, so if a vote was to be instated, I'd choose that one.

I dont see it as that close. Most likely a bug. It is likely not intended to work that way and was the result of the way the code handled riders. Even if they cannot see you in the room can they target you such as "poke hoch" or "kill hoch"?

Sounds like a display bug that I will put on the bug fix list.
