The short of it is My pet is in the room, I am mounted on him. I can look at him, but I don't see him when I look at the room. Is this actually a bug or is it something else? Don l night Looking at this beast, you get the distinct impression that hitching it to a wagon would be a mistake - it looks at you as if you are a meal, not a master. Its coat is black as midnight and its eyes are a fiery red. Its hooves do not seem to touch the ground, though that might be your imagination. Overall, an armored nightmare is in excellent condition. An armored nightmare is using: <worn as skin> fur hide (brand new) [HP:100%] [ME: 54%] [PE: 67%] > l A circle of stones You are standing in the midst of short grass and small shrubs ^ppp^ in the plains of the Empire of the Bright Star. There are some pp*pp short, windblown trees nearby. A large circle here has been pbb\- cleared of vegetation, leaving a well-trod space of dirt and rock. Several trails wind through the plains away from here. A waning crescent moon hangs in the sky. It's mostly clear, hot, and there is absolutely no wind. Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se portal rift (Glowing) A mystical deep red portal flickers in the midst of the stones. A magical rift is glowing violently in the mid-air. A set of rune-inscribed stones frame the center of the clearing here. [HP:100%] [ME: 54%] [PE: 67%] > se You ride an armored nightmare southeast. |

With the new mounting/grouping system, if someone else is in the room with you, they see "Someguy is here riding on a nightmare." Or at least something along those lines. Since that's combined into one line, and you never see yourself when looking in the room, I would assume that you can't see your mount, since he's basically the same as you. I agree that would be nice to see. |

I don't consider it a bug in the updated system. You can see you rode him in. If you check info, you should see him on the formation list. If you do see your mount in the room, that is the new signal that something went wrong and you got dismounted. |

It doesn't seem buggy to not see "A nightmare is here, mounted by you."? |

Yea. Intentional. You (the mounted) are the only that does not see you riding XXX. But why does that matter? You already know you are. And you wont be targeting it. |

Since you are a single unit, no it does not seem buggy. It is just a change from prior behavior. |

The main bug in the thread is the spelling of Schrodinger's name |

I will mention that this applies equally to PCs -- I can't see my rider once he's on my back in the room, which seems a little strange. Maybe it's because I never noticed that when you type "look" you don't see yourself. |

Yes, I understand. Once you are a unit with your rider/mount, you don't see "yourself". Will not be considered a bug. |
