The northern end of a brightly lit cavern
The high ceiling of the cavern gently slopes down toward a small hole
in the cavern wall to the north. The hole is covered with a sturdy wooden
door. The area about the door is well lit with torches of various sorts.
The smoke emitted from the torches slowly winds it's way upward and forms
into a black cloud of smoke.

An unusually comfortable cave
Spread out about this room are dozens of messy wax candles set out in
clay dishes. The soft light emitted from the candles glow warmly off the
smoothed walls of this cave, revealing a large number of cave etchings
scratched into the rock. There are several animal skins spread out over
the floor, which is surprisingly free of almost all debris. Various tools,
wooden sculptures, and totems are also randomly scattered about the room.
Obvious exits: s

I don't think you are behind the camel. You fled, so your formation is gone. Before, you weren't hitting the bakemono since you were in back. When you come back, you start piercing him. Hence, you're in the front. Whenever you flee, you should suspect that your formation will be destoryed, and you'll come back in the first available slot, which often means up front.

A player character can't change targets while dirted, npcs do. Feature.

Even if he is in position f1 or f2 their point is he is attacking the camel well blinded and can switch targets. Assume the fight starts with camel F1 Jreid M1. Blinds NPC flees Jreid is now in F1. Moves back to the room with the camel Jreid F1 camel F2. Bakemono switches target well blinded to Jreid.

This happens all the time if I remember correctly. Bashed or tripped they cant change target although they can often slip it in between spamming of bash or trip. This is mostly to try to avoid what your doing there I do believe. Im reasonably confident its a feature not a bug. (although dont let that stop you from spamming backstab on a blinded foe.)

NPCs are hard-coded to switch targets to a pet's owner if they can reach him. This may be an bug in that they are able to do so while dirt kicked, although I can't remember if that has ever happened to me.
