No surprise there, you play a rogue, the worst class in the game. No bug here, Dulrik just hates this class.

I do OK with the class. It'd still be nice if this could get some attention.

If I hated the class, I wouldn't have bothered to do a bunch of upgrades last year.

Does this bug occur anytime you are in the back row? Does it matter who is in front of you? Does it only happen when attacking this specific creature? If not, what other types of creatures?

It happens mostly with dragons or anything that can naturally hit the second rank. I saw it frequently when fighting the Quad in the Dreamscape and any sort of dragon. The only "fix" is to flee or get rescued. Otherwise, the game things you are taking direct melee - can't circle and you don't get any melee attacks of your own.

Hmm.. okay, I'll look into it. Sounds like it would be correct if the rogue were in row two, but not when in row three.

Yeah - it only happens against creatures with natural reach, or against enemies with reaching weapons. In this log, it was an enemy wielding a pike and I was in row 3.

This doesn't happen when I am in row 2 against non-reaching creatures or against enemies without reaching weapons. So it's gotta be something to do with mob-aggro and reaching.

Not sure if your fix is in or not, I suspect it just hasn't hit the live server, but here's some more info. This bug impacts PC combat too and I randomly got a great in-combat "look" off earlier to really illustrate it for you. Kondo here was somehow "fighting" me in the 3rd row. However he was hitting my wildcat without, I suspect, getting the benefit of his automatic skills like 2nd/3rd attack, since he only got 1 attack off.

Btw, "occasionaly" is a typo in the temple. Should read "occasionally" =P
