epees that are not?

I might be wrong but an epee and no-dachi are suppose to be 2 different weapons, right? If so why are these guard-issued epees showing up when you locate for no-dachi blades?

they used to, despite their description, actually be no-dachis, but someone 'fixed' that... seems they still have the keyword though

There are actually a lot of items like this. There are "adamantite" items that are actually steel, for example.

My favorites are certain energy things that are actually gold.

I went through a lot of trouble once to get a hold of that stuff, cracked my head to puzzle solve how to beat a certain group of npcs in a no-recall area solo, only to be rewarded by a bunch of super-heavy useless (to me) stuff. Boo.

The armor looks cool, but yeah. Its terribad. Its almost as if we were being trolled by the person who created it.

I just assume it got gimped in the "wimp easily obtained items" push a while back like everything else.
