Bug: somethings wrong with the group. I've seen that happening again. you can still tumble to the guy in your group but you are still infront. hitting with a no-range weapon, and get hitted by punches. no he was not ethereal or something.

You sing: Be silent in that solitude,
Your deadly song causes a goblin beggar to shiver and shake in pain.
Your deadly song causes an ugly female goblin to shiver and shake in pain.
Your deadly song causes a goblin girl to shiver and shake in pain.
Your deadly song causes a smelly male goblin to shiver and shake in pain.

A smelly male goblin punches at your left hand, ripping a small wound.
A goblin girl's punch at your chest is deflected by a red leather jerkin.
An ugly female goblin misses you.
A goblin beggar punches at your chest, causing a big, bleeding wound!

You pound a goblin beggar's chest, making him cough up blood!
Overall, a goblin beggar has some big nasty wounds and scratches.

If the leader is not in the same room with you, you can't position yourself.

Thats true, but you can be Rescued by someone not even in your group and they start to take the blows for you, so why cant you tumble behind someone and have them start takeing the hits?

As I recall, it's been established that NPCs can attack pretty much anyone they want that is not out of reach, doing such things as switching targets while blinded, bashed, etc. Since you didn't get out of the first row, there's no reason they couldn't hit you. As for people out of the group rescuing you, well, I don't know anything about that.

helpfull facts.
in the same group were me +kethas+skeleton+vorous
in the same room were: me +kethas
pay attention at the following.

Group: Vorous's Party
(11:F1) [------------] (12:F2) [------------] (13:F3) [ Vorous]
(21:M1) [------------] (22:M2) [------------] (23:M3) [------------]
(31:B1) [------------] (32:B2) [------------] (33:B3) [------------]
Characters Rank Pos In room Follow H ME PE
Vorous Leader 13:F3 No No 100% 94% 64%
A skeleton Member ??:?? No Yes 100% 100% 100%
Kethas Member ??:?? Yes No 86% 100% 97%
Zampetaz Member ??:?? Yes No 60% 67% 78%

anyone of the group was seeing only Vorous

Normally , i should see all the members of the group that were in the room , I mean seeing their positions.
What was apearing at my info was, Vorous's info! Vorous wasn't there though! And the skeleton i can't recall if he has with him or not.

If the info was correct it should apear like that.

(11:F1) [------------] (12:F2) [---kethas---] (13:F3) [ ----zampetaz]
(21:M1) [------------] (22:M2) [------------] (23:M3) [------------]
(31:B1) [------------] (32:B2) [------------] (33:B3) [------------]

and after the sucessful tumble

(11:F1) [------------] (12:F2) [---kethas---] (13:F3) [ -----------]
(21:M1) [------------] (22:M2) [--zampetaz-] (23:M3) [------------]
(31:B1) [------------] (32:B2) [------------] (33:B3) [------------]

now. After the sucessful tumble i should hit anyone with my weapon which is a small weapon and it hits only one row away. If I would like to hit an enemy , i should only stay at the front row just like i was at the start, but i would continuesly getting hit.

Code:
Tumbling allows the user to seek protection from melee attacks by dodging
and rolling in such a way as to place the target character in harm's way in
your place.  This tactic is not of much use against an enemy formation, but
it can be used to retreat from your own front row in a pinch.  This ability
is effectively the opposite of rescue.

So, you put someone into harms way if you are in it.THEY GET HIT.
You dont. The group formation didn't changed, and the hits continued to exists. From me to them, and from them to me.

I hope its better now to understand.
Re-read the post i made at start.

Galiana, when grouped, you only get one formation. Its part of the grouping code. If you are not in the room with the person who leads the group, it will not acknowledge any formation except for those that are.

NPCs can change targets as quickly as they like. You could be rescued and still start taking hits right away in an identical situation, because Dulrik lets the NPCs do this for more challenge.

If you were fighting a PC, yes you would stop taking hits till they targetted you again.
