You sit down and rest your tired bones.

After a typo on depetrification, which I thought was a "benevolent" spell, my pulse is racing???

Is there any reasoning behind this.

I've also noticed this on dispel magic if the target is the room. I know it's an "offensive" spell and all, but if there is no "opponent" why the need to have your heart pounding.

Oh look at me, I dispelled some perma-dark and now i'm all scared.

WtF!?

The entire system of not being able to sleep directly after combat is pathetic.

It sounds In-Character to me. Where's the confusion for you, own!?

Yay! It's in character! Because I know when *I* log into SK I'm looking for another figment of reality where I can live out yet another boring, uninteresting life.

Oh wait, I seem to remember something about this being a game at some point. You remember what those are right, Zynor? It's somewhere you can go to escape reality - where for whatever reason things like sleeping after combat are a reality because it keeps things fast paced and interesting. Most importantly, however, it keeps them fun. Something that SK seems to be really lacking due to updates to make sk 'real'.

Of course, being able to sleep right after fighting wouldn't affect plevellers at all, would it three?

Lets save the bug forum for real bugs, shall we?

And get rid of the professions we have now. You should replace them with "lawyer" "doctor" "builder" and "corporate ladder-whore". And then you can change the country names to "America", "England", "Russia", "China" etc. That'd be way more realistic! Everyone would want to play then!

Lvling now is the easyest its ever been. Some people have GMed chars in 44 and 60 hours, and being able to sleep right after combat would help them very little.
It might shave an hour or 2 off them getting to gm, but It would really help the people who don't know all the tricks to lvling.

Basically, the only thing it does do is [REDACTED] off newbies and make the game less fun.

own is not allowed to talk in this thread further. Please, you derail every one elses train of thought, please refrain from assholishing up my thread.

My concern is, is depetrification a "combat spell"???? Even if it doesn't have an appropriate target? Dispel magic to the room is a "combat spell"????

If an IMM says "yes" and that it is by design, then please lock this thread.

Thnx,

Alright, as much as I want to speak along the same thoughts and in agreement with qwn, I'm going to refrain. Yes, I think this is a bug. Its just like healing undead. It shouldn't raise your pulse because it isn't a combat spell.
